So, I was eating semi-delicious COPcake (is it cheesecake? is that a raisin? what is this chocolaty substance?) outside the "Apollo Butterfly" room where I'd been waiting 30 minutes for a 45 minute meeting to start when someone asked me, "Is that the new MacBook?" I turned around and saw a...... [view]

Description: Mission
Poverty, environmental degradation, infringement of human rights, conflicts and terrorism. Despite we have entered 21st century, we are facing diverse issues both on the global and... Goals: Our goal of establishing a platform for youth activists has been made based on
As a set of projects towards G8 Summit in 2008, our short-term goals are:
1) to deliver the voices of global youth to the G8 Summit and
2) to raise awareness among young people on the global issues.
However, our supreme goal does not reside in the G8 Summit. It is to establish a cross-sectional and independent platform of youth activists which makes youth activities more influential.
our vision: we need a solid civil society to see a "sustainable society" in the near future. To make civil society more influential, we should be collective and strategic; hence, the platform will be designed in such a way that it enables youth activists more collective and strategic. |
