Never Say
Never say to your teacher,
"I know more than you do"
Never say to your parent,
"I can do without you"
Never say to your friend,
"Who says you're special?"
Never say to your cousin,
"My father is richer than yours"
Never say to a stranger,
My house is the red one down the...... [view]

I had not heard the name Forough Farrokhzad: I watched the movie "The Wind Will Carry Us" and read the English subtitles, a poem recited intermittently by the main character:
You,
O green like the soul of the leaves,
Leave your lips to the stroke of mine,
And savor them like swell flavor...... [view]

We're at the same place we always were
Doing the same things we always did
But its different now
You make me feel like a cheerleader again
At a game that ended two years ago
You didn't know me until you knew me
But then
I knew we were more than friends
Even now as I look at you...... [view]

My refuge to a fanatical world
Achieving perfection in every
Stanza, note, line and verse
A melody in my ear; A drum in your ear
An intuitive array of emotion
Expressed key after key; beat after beat
Of black and white surprises
Unchaining the memory
Like history's photography
Like...... [view]

I have knowledge
Knowledge to know that my knowledge
Is fleeting as the years that created it
I have facts
Facts that can be altered at your discretion
I have data
I consciously decode my own algorithms
I thought I had wisdom
Until I learned that it comes from age
Chasing the years...... [view]

No gold, No diamonds no fancy car
A life to live with, to fly very far,
Smiles to wear and hapiness to sleep,
A hand to hold you, on every leap
small dreams to share, small world to live
love lust and luck, to take and give
warm hugs, tight hand, and wet kiss
to my beloved, a birthday wish...... [view]

Some go down the clean straight path...
Some go down the broken jagged path...
Some even go along the jacked up curved path...
People don't harrass straights, but LGBT's are damaged with wrath.
I don't understand why people are scared of them, hate them, hurt them, or kill them, just...... [view]

Running towards the bended plateau
Reaching farther to the top of
Highs you've reached; my heart you shadowed
Waiting for the world to stop
You've reached the peaks of persuasion
Toward that common purple goal
Then you had me painting
Pictures of your domino life
One by one...... [view]

I am pleased to find this club hidden away in the labyrinths of the internet. I would like to share a translation of a poem Kaun Dushman Hai by Ali Sardar Jafri - someone had sent it to me some time back. Unfortunately, the name of the translator was not sent with the text. I would be grateful...... [view]
